Motherly Love

I’m a Mother of two, Currently Residing at Poblacion 3, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental. Hi, I am Rucel Tampus Travero, 30 years old, and a student of USTP-Villanueva Campus, a Second Year College taking of a bachelor’s degree of bachelor of Science in Technology Communication Management, a Municipal Health Worker of our Barangay.
Taking on the role of mother is a life changing experience. You are no longer on your priority list once you become a mother. You rarely have time to take care of yourself during the first year after the baby is born, at least. I am the mother of two children, one boy and one girl. And if I feel compelled to pursue my hobbies or interests, my children are always there to remind me that they are looking forward to seeing me. But that was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Aside from my husband’s affection, I prefer having the feeling that there is someone who actually needs me.
Every mother, I believe, has experienced the moment when her child performs something unique that she has taught them. Perhaps it’s the first time they clap, grin, or laugh when they’re young, or the first time they say mama or papa. All of these experiences have been rewarding.
It was definitely unpleasant for me from conception to delivery. Those long nights, my out-of-shape body, and the pain I felt during and after gym sessions didn’t help matters, but I loved the adventure regardless. I suppose this is a trip that all ladies enjoy.
